In this first entry i will introduce myself writing about the reasons and motivations that made me choose the career that i am currently studying, lets find out.
As a child, i was very obsessed with the idea of being a filmmaker, that's because when i was 2 years old, my parents bought a home video camera, because of this all the family was very into recording interesting funny moments of our daily life. Then i grow up and they let me use the camera by my own, so i started to make little videos taking as a topic some cartoons and using my toys as film stars.
So back then in my last year of high school, i felt ready and secure about studying film making, until i met this art substitute teacher that shown me amazing points of view about art and history, she taught us about the importance of art making as a perpetuation of human culture in the weird labor of writing human history. In that matter, Visual Arts become a very serious career option to me. But at the moment of applying, filmmaking was my first option.
Finally i was not accepted at the film school, so my second option was transformed into what i love and i am doing until now. At first i was very nervous, visual arts is a complicated field of study, so i put all my effort to get into and understand all this new world in front of me; a world of pure sincere communication. Since then my experience has been nothing but satisfying, i have met a lot of amazing people, for life pin pals and learned a lot more than work in a specific art technique.
Now that i am in my last semester, i'm thinking about what kind of life i will be living after i left this school. There is a cool fact that i didn't mention before, in my 3rd year of studying visual arts, i left this academy to start studying engineering, yes it could sound wicked, but that year i was already working with technology and multimedia resources applied to arts. So there was this scholarship that i could take and started this new scary trip into science. Because all of this i see my life from here working whit robotics and programming some interesting media applied to arts or not, i'm very in love with the communicational tools that visual arts gave me, and in the same amount, in love with the technological knowledge that engineering put nicely in my way.
